THOUGHTS FROM A CONSERVATIVE JEW IN AMERICA
....Or, why Liberal Jewish values are a danger to Israel & Jews worldwide!
We are where we are today, because Liberal Jews, mainly in America, have been lead to believe (falsely) that they could reason and negotiate with terrorists who have vowed to kill all Jews and erase Israel! We now need no additional proof that radical Arab Islamists mean it. Hamas must be destroyed!
Sometimes the best stories come straight from real life conversations about “life.” Today’s particular subject comes from viewing a video posted by a Liberal Jewish actress who was shocked that the Arab world really did want all of us Jews dead! Another Liberal Jew who I know, sent me this video, saying that he completely agreed with her.
Before I go on, you must know that my writing style is what I like to call “Stream of Consciousness!” Please forgive me as at times I wonder off target to add something else to the discussion! Onward:
I thought you might like to know my response:
I have never considered nor will I ever consider myself a “Liberal American Jew.”
To me, that label and it’s attendant positions, flies in the face of reality. It only comes under the category of “hopes and dreams.”
Hope’s and dreams are not, nor will ever be a strategy.
None of what is happening in the world today, regarding Jew hatred, surprises me one little bit.
The desire for a 2 state solution has always been and will always be an exercise in “Wishful Thinking.” Why you ask, because it flies in the face of reality. The other side does NOT want peace. They proved it on October 7th.
To me, being a Liberal American Jew is a dangerous and foolish endeavor which has led us to where we are today. “Pretty sure the rest of the world has made it perfectly clear where they stand on the “Jewish Question!’ (Sound Familiar?) I say this because, the rest of the world DOES want to get rid of the Jews. Once again, proven on and since October 7th. (See college campuses, etc.)
My third to last response went like this: For all the support and encouragement we Jews have given the Black community in America over the years, I find it rather disgusting, yet not surprising, that BLM was the first group to come out in support of the Palestinians and Hamas! Again, IS ANYONE SURPRISED!
My second to last response was as follows: I do find it interesting, yet not surprising that the Democrat Party is unwilling to really stand up and speak up forcefully about the massacres and the Anti-Semitism. What really stands out to me is that even well known Jewish political figures like Chuck Schumer, Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff have been silent. I can only surmise that their Liberalism is far more important to them, than their Jewish identity! (My opinion only!)
My final reply went thusly; I have always been disturbed by the use of the phrase “Never Again.” Not that I don’t like or agree with it, the problem is that I feel it has always been used as a “catchphrase,” without any follow thru! I have sat in many a Synagogue over the years, where I heard that phrase uttered ad nauseum, followed by “the problem in America today is the Anti-Semitism from the “far right.” That is just one example for me. It has come to have no meaning as a conservative Jew in America!
I close with the following;
Let me remind our enemies, not a single country on Earth that has tried to eliminate us still exists in the same form today as it did then.
May G-d bless Netanyahu, the IDF and the people of Israel. May they not be swayed by public opinion and waver from what must be done.
In our world of Good vs Evil, evil wins when not confronted and destroyed!
Please keep Israel and Jews worldwide in your prayers during this historic moment.
